It's done.

I'm actually fighting tears as I write this post but I'm glad my time is now over. I don't officially step down until the next school year starts however, it is the time the rest of my committee members step down.

I must admit, I had many doubts in my decisions on the people I have chosen to go inside the committee. I even questioned the person I was paired with to lead the club with. I blamed my luck for giving me people who didn't showed the same interest towards the club as I have did but then again, who am I to blame when I was a pretty bad leader myself.

Perhaps I lacked the initiative to get to know the people I was working with in a deep, personal level. I never wondered what ticks them off or seen things in their perspective. I may have tried, but perhaps, it just wasn't enough. Maybe that was what I lacked of. After all, I don't actually enjoy talking to people until they actually speak to me or they speak of something I can connect on the same level with. It was a mixture not fit for me.

It was tough this year. Considering I was the only one moving forward from last year, to a completely new team. Funny how I remembered telling them that my goal was to be the President. Oh how I regretted. It was a very tough position but then again, the reason why I said that last year was because of my mindset, "If not me or him, then who else can be that?" I guess all the successful interviews and getting the positions I wanted definitely affected my ego and confidence level. I actually find myself pretty disgusting after thinking through that. My mom was right, I am a very snobbish person who enjoys recognition and high success.

But I didn't regret taking it up. I didn't regret certain decisions I've made. I just regretted some of the people I had to be together with, that I never had the initiative to try and change people's mindset or being influential as a leader. Then again, I did have to carry a huge burden from the previous year's leader.

I do hope I made my footprints into some people's lives and left my legacy somewhere, somehow.

But I'm glad, I'm glad that I went through this and the time to find the next person to suffer through this period of pain, hardships and sacrifice has come.

Shall enjoy my remaining time as the President for now cause the hard moments are finally over.

Thank you, my boyfriend, for seeing me through this period in my life. Even though you told me from the start, not to go on with this cause you knew how busy I would be. I should have listened to you but I don't have much regrets either. I know this post makes you want to facepalm at how my sentences are.
